Hi Guys (ladies Too). I had a Crohns flair for almost 7 years until my Lg Bowel was so scarred and strictured, it had to be removed (they left my Rectum intact) in 2006. They installed an ileostomy and thus my Cd has been in remission sense. Of late (last 6 months), my abdomin directly under my stoma has been pushing out more and more like there was some kind of alien beneath my stoma area. Over the last 2 months, I had 2 very short bouts of severe pain that only lasted about one minute and went away. That part of my tummy pushed out and was rock hard until the pain subsided. Two weeks ago about an hour after dinner it happened again and the pain continued for an hour. It was so intense, I rolled up in a ball in bed until it finally subsided. My PCare PHD made an appt with a local surgeon. He ordered a CAT Scan and said I had a very large Hernia and my small intestine was pushing into that area. He offered to repair the hernia or have my ileostmy reversed. He really offered little in the way of what life would be like after a reversal. Now I have a decission to make! I have read many posts with many pointing to "Repair the Hernia and keep the ileostomy"
