recs for a good doc in Kansas City?

Does anybody have a doctor they like in the Kansas City area? It doesn't matter if it is in Kansas or Missouri. I'd drive an hour or so if it meant a better doctor. I'm a fairly proactive client. I read the GI medical journals, and my current doctor seems offended and threatened by my assertiveness. I just moved to the area a few months back so I'm not sure who else to try. I'm not having a flare up, but I want a good doctor I can get along with and trust in case I do run into problems.

I go to Consultants in Gastroenterology in Independence. it is near I-70 and MO 291, but you can get an exact address at their site. They have quite a few doctors there. My doctor (and the only one I've had) is Dr. Brock, I've only had Crohn's for almost 10 months, and after admission to the hospital for a CT scan that revealed colitis he was the Doctor that performed my colonoscopy and diagnosed me. He ended up becoming my Doctor when it was time for a follow up. In a couple of my hospital stays i've seen other doctors in the same group and I've liked them all.So far Ive been pleased, but I haven't had too many complications.

Thanks! I have struggled to find a doctor comfortable with my proactive approach in the past. I'll see if they are taking new patients. Any other suggestions would be great too!
