I have recently found this forum and have found so much wonderful info, so I hope it's ok to say hello even though I have not been diagnosed.
I started off with diarhoea but that settled, now I have constipation. I have been to a number of different Drs with no answers, finally I have found a wonderful GI Dr who thinks its CD. I am having a colonoscopy on 16th may. Part of me although a bit scared is hoping there is a diagnosis so I know what we are dealing with!
My biggest problem is pain! And lots of it. Right lower side, apparently where my ileum is, radiating to my back when its bad And now constipation. Most info I read that diarrhea was a symptom not constipation, so I had ruled out CD!

I constantly have a hot pack with me for the pain, even at work! I try and avoid pain relief tablets, but lately I have had to resort to them, so I try panadeine, even panadeine forte sometimes, or ibufren which I am sure is not recommended.
Just saying hi, and if there is anyone else out there that has problems with pain, any suggestions?

Welcome and sorry about your pain. I don't have the constipation but it is common for people with IBD to have that symptom. There are a lot of people on here that have complained of it.

I hope that you get some relief soon and hopefully a diagnosis after your scope. It can be very scary but there are a lot of us out there and you are not alone in this.
