Random puking spells/trouble swallowing?

I've been feeling either alright or good these past few days & that's great! After 4 months on Humira I'm seeing improvement finally! I start Sulfazine tonight.  smilewinkgrin

  Lately I've been having issues swallowing & puking spells. Last night & today I threw up all over my friends as well as myself after dinner/after a snack. Luckily, they didn't care too much, just scared & walked me to the bathroom so we could all clean up. This is so weird to me because I've always had upper GI issues but I've been puking midsentence or in the middle of laughing. This is so weird! confused   Any ideas on why I'm having random throwing up & difficulty swallowing?

Sorry that you are suffering from throwing up but glad that you are feeling better now. Don't worry it could be a side effect of one of your meds or something you ate. What type of problems do you have with your stomach? Do you have GERD or gastritis? These cause vomiting. Does it recurr or did it just happen once or twice? Why don't you call your GI and ask about his opinion? May be it is just something acute that can be treated in its beginnings before it becomes chronic.

I have GERD & Gastritis. The biopsies showed Crohn's in all 4 places the GI biopsied but the images have improved from the last scope.

It just started happening this week & I've had the stomach inflammation for over a year.

Thank you & I hope you get better soon :) I'll call the GI & try some OTC stuff!

Nope. No symptoms of a tummy bug at all. I took a pill ealy today, it got caught in my throat(around 6:30) I finally vomited the capsule around 1 this afternoon. It was just caught in my throat & hurting. I still have that feeling it's stuck in there. I feel no pain, fever, chills with the vomitting. It's kind of like a baby spit up. Just more volume. I ocassionally have bleeding throat ulcers so I'm guessing maybe scar tissue? I'll probably start back on the "magic mouthwash" before I go to bed.

I hate that feeling of not being able to swallow. A few years ago I had to have a dilation done in my esophagus. It worked really well.

You can also have spasms in the esophagus that are not related to inflammation. They might be related to anxiety - I know, I hate it when people tell me my symptoms are related to stress or worry, but it is in fact true about the esophagus. Just something to think about.
