I a colon resection and colostomy about 9 weeks ago, 6 weeks after that I got a small bowel obstruction.
I had a list of foods to avoid 6 weeks after the op as the stoma can get blocked. On the list was mushrooms, tomato skin, fruit skin, nuts, steak, raw veggies ect. I was really good with not eating these thing for the 6 weeks. I started to eat muesli a few days before this happened, I'm worried that this could of caused the obstruction, they don't know whether it was food or an adhesion or a kink in my bowel.
I had an Illeostomy for a year before this and I've never had a problem with foods blocking me. Food has never really been an issue you with my Crohn's apart high fatty foods. Should i be worried about eating these foods or should I be able to return to my normal diet?
