AM I GONNA DIE?

I have resorted to ordering my Entocort EC from CANADA because I can no longer afford to pay for it thru my insurance as they consider it a tier 3 even as a generic. It is being "allegedly" manufactured by Sun Pharmaceutical in India and dispensed from Barbados to my Front door. Well, nice knowing you guys...

I've bought from them lots of times. They are a reputable drug store. I've taken drugs from other countries as well and I haven't yet died.

I took mesalamine for about a year that I ordered from an online location in Canada.  The pills came from Sun Pharmaceuticals in India.  I'm still here to answer your question, so I guess it's safe.  I'm also betting that a lot of drugs that are on shelves in US pharmacies come from those locations.

India has a major pharmaceutical export industry, and their quality is world class.

I live in Taiwan, and all the drugs I've been prescribed are produced here. The fact is that the USA does not have a monopoly on quality pharmaceuticals.

But I'll give the USA credit - it is certainly the world leader in high drug prices. No other country even comes close.

My PCP recommends Canadian pharmacies to those who have no insurance coverage, and happily writes prescriptions for them.

I ordered generic Asacol from the same site, which has the same deal, made in India ditributed through Barbados. Im on day 2, and they seem to be the same thing.

The website is legit. I was also able to find a first time buyer 25% off coupon, so I got a great deal on my first batch.

I didn't know anything about Barbados, other than it is a Caribbean island. So I looked it up:

Interesting. Turns out it is ranked Number 16 in the Worldwide Corruption Perceptions ranking of countries published by Transparency International:

Note that the higher the number, the more corrupt.

The USA is rated at number 24. My country of residence, Taiwan, is number 32. Tied for last place at number 182 is North Korea and Somalia.

Of course, this "corruption perception index" is not the Holy Grail, but interesting nonetheless.
