Humira, Methotrexate, and Prednisone?!?!

I just had my yearly colonoscopy and it came back with active crohns in my terminal ilium and IC valve. They started me on 40mg of prednisone and I go back tomorrow to talk about other options. I have been on humira for a year but my GI wants to add mtx to the mix. Ive never been on it and im worried about mixing the two while being on a high dose of prednisone. Has anyone taken all 3 together?

I was on Remicade, Methotrexate and Prednisone once and had no problems. They all help in their own way.

Hi,

I was also on MTX along with Remicade and 10 mg of prednisone. If you do start MTX talk to your doctor about having folic acid (liquid form) with it. It is supposed to help prevent tummy upset.

I was on Remicade, Methotrexate and Prednisone without any side effects. I was on Pred for about 2 months to knock out an arthritis flare.
