Well...this is actually good news as the severe chest pain was not heart related nor was it CD in my esophagus. I am still waiting for the endoscopic biopsies, but in my heavy fog post-scope, doc said he saw no signs of CD in my throat, He said he did see a small hiatel hernia. This might explain a lot - the chest pain, the feeling of being full very quickly, the heartburn. What it doesn't explain is having the chest pain as badly as it has been sometimes and the wicked sore throat for the last three months (including losing my voice every few weeks).
It appears the treatment is "do nothing--maybe lose some weight". Umm this pain in my chest is still pretty much always there. I am hovering between "this is an acceptable level of pain in daily life" and "this feeling so crumby at my age is baloney". Husband thinks the chest related stuff might be asthma as he thinks I started wheezing since we met (yup that was specific--we met 11 years ago ).
Anyone with hiatel hernia out there? What are your thoughts on the asthma. I am driving the bus in my care and I have to decide if I just put on the brakes or make a right turn.
