I take two humira injects a week and have recently been experiencing some swelling and irritation at the injection sites for atleast 48 hours once injected. I've been on humira for about six months now and it's been happening for about three weeks. Anyone experience this or have any suggestions?

I suggest you call both your pharmacist and Abbott, the company that distributes Humira. They can talk you through the side effects and may have some suggestions.

I was on Humira fortnightly for 3 months, when I suddenly started to get what was thought to be injection site reactions. But every time I injected, they were more severe. I would take pictures and document the reactions. It's quite normal to have an injection site reaction. But if it grows and almost overtakes your whole thigh like mine did, well that's not normal lol.

I sometimes but not always get swelling and irritation at the injection site. It seems the more the injection hurts the worst it looks afterwards. It is sometimes a lump with no itch. But many times it's irritated and itchy but the most it lasts for me is 24 hours. If it's there for 48 hours you should call Humira and ask. They have a nurse hotline 24/7.
