Thrush--is this it and is there an OTC treatment?

So home one week from hospital - had some high dose antibiotics in hospital and came home on pred....think I have thrush now, but not sure.  Everything about thrush says white lumps on tongue.  Mine has no lumps, but is coated white and burns.  Think it's thrush???  If so, is there something I can do from an over the counter method rather than add more meds at this point?
