I have a positive ANA and high ANA titer of 1:640. No one seems to know why. I have been told I have IBD but only by my primary doc. The Rheumitologist put me on Azothyaprine last year and I got a teribible sinus infection since I have chronic sinusitis. I dont know what to do. Dco says to go to a new Rheum, but she will not take patients until Jan. Prdnisone helps a lot and I take Asacol 3x3 day. I have a migraine right now and get them often. I am on lots of meds for many things. Can anyone give me some advice?

If you have IBD, you should be under the care of an IBD knowledgable gastroentonologist. They would be more familiar with today's treatments and medical therapies than a primary doc.

And 3months wait isn't that bad to get into a rheumatologist. I am waiting for 6months to see one because my primary care doc suspects lupus for many reasons, including high positive ANA. With your symptoms and ANA it seems you should be under the care of a good rheumatologist.

All the docs here are awful. The gastros won't help me either. No one knows what to do. I almost died from an ercp. So everyone is scare to treat me. I will wait till jan. I am sick and frustrated.

You unfortunately (like me) probably need to see both. I confuse the hell out of my doctors as well, and as of yet still have no concrete diagnoses. (Although they seem to agree there is going to be more than one which seems like what is going on for you as well.) Unfortunately you probably will need both a GI and a rheumy, but you may have to look for awhile until you find the one that is the best fit for you.
