I've had a good run of about 6 months where I've been doing quite well. The last several weeks my reflux has gotten out of control....lots of burping, nausea, stomach pain, etc., to the point where it almost doesn't matter what I eat-I spend most days with some sort of pain. Then I went into one of my miserable constipation cycles and have had to take either Senokot or Miralax practically daily. I think that when I slow down eating, my motility slows as well, so it all goes downhill together. I saw my GI yesterday, and he ordered a ton of bloodwork...Comprehesnsive profile, CBC, CRP, ESR, Iron, Ferritin, Folate, and B-12. He also is doing this endoscopy with a ph sensor to measure the acid in my uppper GI tract. So I am glad he is taking my symptoms seriously, but do you think he is going overboard? I know this is stupid, but I'm almost worried that the blood work will all come out normal, and then I'll be embarrassed that I'm whining. I usually can tell when I'm anemic, and I don't think that's the issue this time. My husband and best friend demanded that I go see the GI because they think I wait too long. Maybe I just don't want to think of being in a flare all over again. Anyone else doubt yourself like this??? Thanks, as always for listening.
