Lately I have had no appetite and when I do force myself to eat in ordor to stay alive I experince great discomfort and feeling of fullness after just a few bites. I am getting more and more sensitive towards certain food groups and have gotten few spells of terrible colon cramps. But I am more worried about the stomach issues. Any ideas what it could be? I am only familiar with colon issues the rest of my digestive track has been ok until now.

I am on Humira every other week 40mg

Go see your GI. He/she should at least recommend an upper endoscopy to rule out stomach issues. Also, though we all would like to avoid radiation as much as possible, when did you last have an abdominal CT scan? Your symptoms indicate a problem. It needs investigation. Waiting or trying to self diagnosis could lead to worse problems down the road. I am the poster child for that message. Your twins need you. Find out what is causing these symptoms NOW!

you could have gastritis. my colitis affects my stomach big time and i throw up a lot and can't swallow foods without gagging. it makes eating very difficult. if you get an upper gi endoscopy like ides said, it will show any problems. the only thing that helped me was zofran and prilosec.

isergodur, I feel like that sometimes. For me, these episodes are frequently related to being constipated. I will go for several days without having a bowel movement, and ultimately I end up with no appetite and feeling very full after small meals. I feel better once I've emptied my bowels.

I've also felt this way after eating ocean-going fish. I have no idea what that's about, but I eventually stopped eating ocean-going fish for about 10 years. It started with shellfish when I was 19 and by the time I quit eating this kind of fish it was happening with everything from the ocean. I still won't eat shellfish but I am now able to eat small servings of ocean-going fish without a problem. This was before my diagnosis, and maybe it was a kind of allergic reaction, maybe an intolerance. I don't know.

I am not trying to self diagnose I was just curious since my GI did not give me much to think about. I went to see my GI about this and he gave me Rabeprazole and I take them everyday but not feeling any difference. He said that we would do upper endoscopy in jan if I was not feeling better and if crap hits the fan I will call him ASAP I have his mobile number for emergency's
I had my last CT in 2008 or 9 Can't remember I have been in remission for the last couple of years.

The thing is I am so used to all kinds of colon problems but the only thing I have had in the upper GI stuff is mild GERD, so I have NO idea whats going on. I seriously wake up at 8 am or so with the twins and sometimes I don't feel hungry until 3pm and then when I do eat I only manage a few bites and I feel full and my appetite is zero.
I know there is something going on in my tummy I have been getting more and more sensitive to foods I could easily tolerate before.

Forgot: My blood work was perfect.
But after reading about gastritis it sure sounds like that.
