Tomorrow I have surgery at 7:30am and I was instructed to put an enema on tonight and one tomorrow morning. I started the enema, and got around a quarter of the way through and couldn't hold it at all. And I let out a lot pure mucus at the beginning, and then diarrhea, then small formed stool. I tried to keep putting the enema and got about
halfway but the pain in my rectum was unbearable. And I haven't gone to the bathroom again. As I almost positive I have a fissure.
I barely ate today, I had a small muffin and v8 juice in the morn and a few crackers as a snack and an ensure for lunch. Nothing else. I had 3 BMs today other than the one after the enema.
Should I just wait and do the other one tomorrow? What if I can't finish that one either? Or try to finish this one? Or should I just take a laxative now?
Sorry can you tell I'm nervous?
