UC for eight years. Crohns dx a few months ago. Currently taling asacol 1600 two times a day. Also dx with ankolosing sponDylitis. Rheumie, who treats me for fibro, suggests a biologic. Gastro also seems to be leaning that way.

I have been vomiting off and on for months, rxn to antibiotics and sulfa drugs, but also sometimesjust cause.

Thursday, it was after eating some chicken tenders.
Friday morning, couldn't eat oatmeal, and then vomited when brushing teeth.

Today, almost vomited again after breakfast, again made worse by brushing teeth.

Thoughts? Ideas? Within range of normal? go directly to doc? Help, please. It is starting to worry me.

Sorry that you are suffering. I have vomiting too but I have GERD. Call your doc and ask for an antivomiting med. You should not leave it like this. See your doctor and discuss it w him but till you see him take an antivomiting drug like Zofran.

Hi I would call your doctor asap. or I would go to the ER. with
that much vomiting you need fluids. Then could find out why your vomiting.

I used to vomit rather frequently with my Crohns. I attributed it to food getting caught in areas of inflammation. I would contact you doctor because it sounds like your CD isn't controlled.

Hi.. When I was diagnosed with CD and sent home on medication I threw up constantly due to my body rejecting the medication. Throwing up medication and fluids lead me to become dehydrated several times and my body was unable to absorb the medication which didn't help either.

Thanks, everyone. I think I will call my gastro tomorrow. This is worrying me. Generally, the nausea and vomiting come when I eat too fast, or I eat when something is already bothering my stomach. Twice in the past two weeks it has been triggered by a sip of coffee, and twice by toothpaste. It is enough to make me concerned.

That sounds more like regergitation (sp) from GERD than true vomiting. Coffee is very acidic and the grease in chicken nuggets are GERD triggers.

I've had crohns for 3 years with surgery and flare ups just recently, and how this came about was vomiting. I was sporadically vomiting and then I got a blockage and was severly vomiting so be careful with that.  It was very painful and tiring.  If unable to use restroom and vomitting need to go to emergency room and make them do a catscan of your belly.  It didn't sound like that is the case but if so its important to go and get that cleaned out as can be very serious.
