Hi Dale,
First of all, you've come to the right place. You will find alot of caring people here, that have alot of experience with this disease.
It sounds like you may have a mild version of this disease. You are indeed fortunate at least at this point that you only are dealing with appetite and weight loss.
You shoiuld get a more definitive diagnosis. You will want to know exactly where they found the presence of Crohn's, and how inflamed it is. You say that your blood work was normal, but you should make sure they check for Crohn's markers. CRP, and Sed. rate along with your white blood cell count and iron levels.
They usually start treating a first time bout of Crohn's with Prednisone, then a maintenance medication.
Make no mistake, even though you might be feeling fine, you will very likely need to be on a maintenance medication, and be monitored to make sure it's working, or if you need to go to a more advanced medication to control symptoms.
Most importantly!!! make sure you have a Gastroenterologist that you trust, and knows what they're doing. You should try to see someone that has alot of experience with this disease.
