Hi, I am new to the forum and not sure if I am doing this correctly, but here goes. I have been on remicade for 8 years with no problems and generally feeling great. My husband's insurance is changing and my next scheduled infusion falls after the switch. I also think I am going to have to change providers as our "new" insurance plan is not "in network" with my current doctor. They would like for me to stay with them, and are offering to infuse my "one more time" on my current insurance which will mean going in 13 days EARLIER than scheduled. They then suggest that after I recieve my "new" cards, send them a copy and see what they can find out about my new coverage if I stay with them. This will buy me about 8 weeks to get the new stuff straighten out. I have found a "new" provider in network and they can infuse me at my regular scheduled time. I have never seen this new doctor and they only infuse about 10 patients, so I am a little concerned. My current place has 80 or more on remicade. Has anyone had a remicade infusion early? Any side effects? So far my infusions have gone very smoothly.
