Wondering if anyone has experience with dehydration as a result of diarrhea. I had my loop ileostomy reversed a week and a day ago. I was hospitalized twice with the ostomy because of dehydration so just concerned now that I will be having loose bowel movements for awhile until my guy adjusts.

I have, and unfortunately it's a cycle: diarrhea can cause dehydration, which can make Crohn's worse because it causes more stress on the body, which causes more diarrhea.

I find that sometimes when I am having frequent watery D and fatigue I am dehydrated. for some reason though my urine will still be clear and it can take a couple of days until I get that drawn skeleton look that tells me I am dehydrated. A couple of glasses of water with juice from a whole lemon will help me start to reabsorb fluids. Now I try to remember to start drinking it as soon as D and fatigue start.

Hi remember to always drink a lot of water so we don't dehydrate
especially during the summer times.
