There is nothing to be that really scared of, provided you are relatively healthy apart from the Crohn's. It is old people with multiple health problems who are more likely to be compromised by severe infections when on a biologic med such as Humira or Remicade.
The associated cancer risks are extremely low; so low they can't really tell if it's the med or the Crohn's itself responsible for the slight increase in risk of lymphoma. There are stats: I'll search them out later, too lazy now.
The starting dose for Humira is very high, so you might feel tired for a few days afterwards. The first 'loading' dose is 160mg, going down to 80mg and then finally 40mg. The Humira pens are renowned for stinging painfully, but I honestly never found it that bad: take the pens out for the fridge for half an hour to 45 minutes beforehand. They'll sting a lot less at room temperature than when cold straight from the fridge.
Hope this helps a bit!
