That said, taking off my halo of dazzling perfection for a minute or two, I do know what you mean about
people and their uncomprehending comments. I've been quite lucky with my family on that front: by and large they haven't ever given me advice so dumb it would make your brain melt. I think I understand the jealousy bit as well. It's weird but I'm more jealous of people who eg can have a reversal than I am of entirely healthy people. Perhaps it's because the majority of people with stomas have that option and I don't. I don't know and it bothers me that I feel that way, but I do.
