Hi;

been  long time since I have posted.  I was actually doing rather well for a long time.  Started what I swear was a flare.. pain,.,  diarrhea... but no fever.  Was the SAME feeling I had years ago when I was at my sickest.  My GI ordered labs and they just came back normal... SO.... am I to believe that this is not my CD flaring?  Will he think it is not?  No fever which is good but feel like crap!

What am I suppose to think?  Now thinking my Cd is not the cause.... when before the labs came back was convinced it was.

Hey.
Its hard to always understand what your body is saying.
I often have "normal" labs or what i am told are normal labs when i KNOW it is my crohns playing up.
Key point was last week my bloods came back "okay" so they said. but i pushed that no my crohns is doing something and they sent me for a CT which showed them a lot more than the blood tests did. Sometimes meds can mask things and theyre not always definitive.

You have to just listen to your body give it some time see if it is a bug that will pass... but dont ignore the signs and symptoms for long. You know what you need.

My labs just came back normal too but I can feel the inflammation (it hurts if I push on my abdomen) and I have about half the energy I should have. Bah.

Hi Same here. Had pain and extreme discomfort after barely eating - had blood work done in the week after visiting the doctor - asked for prednisone just to feel better - Blood work comes back - there is nothing wrong with you. Give me a 10g/d x 15d low dose. Argh !

You can have normal labs but still be in a flare. Did your doc order stool studies? You may have an infection. I have had both Salmonella and c.difficile in the past and both times I thought it was a Crohn's flare. Increase probiotics if you take them, and push for more testing if you don't get better soon.

My GI increased my entoroct. When my labs came in OK..I was a basket case feeling like such a fraud. He said.. he trusts MY instincts and he said it was a flare! wish all had a GI like mine! the BEST. I upped it on Tuesday.,... feeling great today! YEAH
