Contrast

After an abdominal  CT, how long does it take to rid the body of contrast.  With my last CT, it only took about 3 xs of explosive runs to clear.  This time I've  been going in smaller amounts but it's been lasting for quite a few hours so far.  Also they gave me an IV before the scan saying it was because my kidney function was low.

Are you talking about the injected contrast? for that they just tell me drink lots of water. it passes within hours.

That nasty stuff they make you drink before the shot, it also passes with liquid.
