Hi and welcome. I guess I would ask if it was certain that what you had removed was hemmies or were they perianal tags. If pb4 comes along...she can tell the story better than I, but basically, most of us are told to NEVER have tags removed becasue we don't heal completely. I live with large and numerous tags. They are both a literal and figurative pain in the butt. Most GIs and colo-rectal surgeoons have told me the tags are a barometer of how bad/well we are doing---bigger inflammation in the tags...not so good.
JaSanne has me going to look for that lanolin to try! JaSanne have you looked into cholestyramine---I only ask as I had the acid issues with no gallbladded and post resection--I love the stuff but it is not for everyone.
I agree on the squirt bottle and limited wiping. I love my hand held shower and hop in whenever possible to avoid wiping. I also recommend you try a sitz bath and soak regularly in warm water. I gave up on baby wipes because even the most gentle with no alcohol were too tough---I think I try to hard to be clean and it might not be the wipes whole fault. I was told I could use OTC cortisone cream to relieve some of the tushy, but have since given up on it---I still like my Neosporin with pain killer for those really stinging days. Doc gave me a script for a tube of lidocaine wi=hich might help you.
Hope you heal more and get to feeling better. My recommendation for brides and moms of brides that have CD is get a good pair of thigh his or go hoseless...it made my wedding day so much easier in that fancy dress! Enjoy that special day with your daughter!!
