Hi everyone! I am a 25 year old female and am new to the forums here. For years I have fought stomach and intestinal problems and was always told that it was my diet, stress, etc. The past year or so my symptoms have been consistently getting worse. Today, fed up I called my doctor and made another appointment. I told him whats had been going on and he now feels I may have crohns. My symptoms include: diarrhea that can last 4+ days, stomach cramping, nausea, lack of appetite, bloating and cramping in gut, and GERD. He has me scheduled to see a general surgeon to have an endoscopy and colonoscopy. Currently he has placed me on culturelle, nexium, and welchol (spelling?).
Is this the best way to diagnose and handle this until we get a for sure diagnosis??? I have tried to do some research but everything seems to lead me in fifty directions. Thanks for reading and any advice/ responses you can give me.
