Laproscopic surgery after having regular surgery

Hi all,

I am currently meeting with surgeons in NYC to discuss a resection. Here is my question: I originally had ileocecal surgery in 2005. The surgeon tried laroscopically but it did not work so he did general (I felt maxing for a solid 5 years after). I want to do this surgeon laproscopically but I do not know if this is even a possibility. Has anyone had this issue or know anyone who has been successful??

P. From what I understand it's possible as long as there isn't too much scar tissue in your abdomen. I had a stricture removed almost 4 years ago and although they tried lapro, there was so much scar tissue they ended up doing an open incision. The only good part was they were able to use my old incision site so no new scars on my belly. Hope all goes well for you.
