Hi,
so I don't have crohn's - instead, I have leukemia. anyway, earlier this year i developed an abscess that required to be cut up and drained. a seton was placed to facilitate continued draining since a parianal fistula developed. it looks through my bottom and from what i'm told, looks like its twisty tied. doctors are apprehensive of giving me a cutting seton, or treating it because of my ongoing chemotherapy.
so anyway, it fell out today. somehow, the seton came undone. I noticed the other day it was sticking out further than before and while poking around my butthole it just pulled right out.
kinda annoyed because i'm pretty sure i should go get it looked at and possible replaced. the seton hasn't bothered me since march - i've maintained my active life style, run alot ... sometime it drains and it makes the surrounding area raw but its fixable by simply placing a toilet square sheet folded up to absorb drainage.
i keep it clean with a portable bidet, which i would have used sans seton. its just amazing, and keeps me clean.
anyway, wondering if anyone experienced their non cutting seton falling out, and if i should be super concerned its gonna close up and develop into an abscess again. cause that would suck.
