Asking too much to wait?

So my Cimzia got approved today. Rats, I was hoping it would take a bit longer. I still now need to wait for the discount card to arrive in the mail however. It's a $200 copay, so I'll take some help!

However I really wanted to talk to my GI doc before I started this new medication. I just have some questions and concerns I'd like to go over with him first. Like the migraine side effect I had with Humira, and if he thinks maybe it would be a good idea to have some medication on hand to stop it (like Imitrex or something). I'd just feel better if I could sit down with him for a few before hand. Unfortunately I don't see him until the 19th next month. I'm okay with waiting, but I don't know if they'll be happy with that.

Then I'll have to schedule an appointment with the nurse to show me how to do the shots (since these won't be pens). I'd almost just rather wait until after the holidays then, since I'd rather start while all the offices are open in case I do have an adverse side effect. Even if it's just a terrible migraine I'd rather have my doctors to see rather then just having the ER be my only option. That's just what I'm feeling most comfortable with, but I don't know if I'm just dragging my feet and asking for too much.

It's your body and you should be able to do what you want. Can you talk with your GI on the phone??
