Weaning off Budesonide

How long does Budesonide stay in your system? I am having really bad headache pain in the side of my head down the back of my neck. I've been taking tylenol for the pain, which kind of helps, for almost 3 weeks. Can the extended taking of tylenol cause headache pain. Or is it the weaning off of the budesonide/entocourt. I was at the 3 pills a day, then down 2, now I'm supposed to be taking 1 a day for 2 weeks, but am thinking of just stopping all together because of the head pain. My crohn's is under control and am feeling no pain associated with the obstruction/flare. Anyone else have bad head/neck pains with the budesonide? It seems to be worse when I move around, almost like I pulled a muscle or something??

I've been on the budesonide for a little over 3 weeks. Before that I was in hosp., for 5 days on iv steroid/ then sent home with prescription for prednisone, but had awful side effects from that, so dr. switched me to the budesonide.

Welcome to HW. I don't think you would need to read my post as you have just been on it for 3 weeks. Also, don't think that you would have any problems in coming out of it. My adrenal glands have become lazy and can't produce cortisol as I'm having withdrawal symptoms.

HI minnietoty, by any chance can you send a link to your post about weaning off budesonide? I've been on it for 5 years and have been tapering from 9 to 6 to 3 to now 0 with a month interval. I'm a little over two weeks out but starting to get severe nausea, dizziness, headache and fatigue. I'm curious if it's due to coming off or if it's something else - as i'd assumed that the worst part of it would've been within the first week or so.
