Have you ever had a stool analysis done?
More often than not, it is a lack of Bifodobacterium that is found in UC/crohn's sufferers. I myself had undetectable levels of Bifidobacterium from my fecal analysis done.
You'll want to aim for at least a 50:50 bifido:lactobacilus ratio, the more bifidobacterium the better. Doesn't matter what strains of bifdo they are...but I was advised 3 months of bifido powder only, then re-introducing lactobacilus.
