Delaying infusion by a week?

My Daughter has been getting Remicade every 8 weeks for about 9 months now.

Due to attending College classes, she's had to delay her upcoming infusion by one week.

Is there any concern in doing this? This is the only time that her infusion schedule has had to be altered.

When I was on Remicade, I had to delay it a few times. The effect on the person depends on how well controlled the disease is. Sometimes I could delay it and not have a problem, other times I'd start to have symptoms return noticeably.

I'm on Humira now, and I've been off it for 6 weeks (usually inject every 2 weeks) due to an illness. I've done fine, but the Crohn's has been well behaved for a few years now.

I don't think it's an issue if the symptoms are under control. It will be a good test to see how she does. I know I felt pretty confident when I could delay my infusions and not have major issues.

At eight weeks it's wearing off, I could tell at 7, she could do it without reservation. it's tapering down still but she will survive. It's not an on off switch.
