I put in a tsp of chia seeds into some chicken broth today, and I couldn't even tell, outside of the texture of the odd seed which goes down real smoothly. I read that since the seeds are almost tasteless, they absorb the flavor of whatever you are cooking, so they are good in soups, stews, sauces, and even stir-fry. They can even be mixed into drinks.
One can start out with 1/2 tsp or 1 tsp full in the beginning just to make sure there is no reaction with the CD. As I mentioned before, I put in about a half of tsp into a cup and pour 1/2 cup boiling water over it, and let sit for about 10 to 15 minutes, then once it's thickened, sometimes I eat the seeds with a spoon, (although, it's not that tasty when it's plain) Guess I could add them to my tea, but I advise anyone trying this to get use to the texture of them first.
