CT and biopsy results out

Things are becoming more complicated. CT is free and they wrote unremarkable study. As for biopsy, it's quite confusing. They wrote:
Sections examined from the specimen revealed ileal mucosa showing odemateous villi. Lamina propria mildly congested showing mild inflammatory reaction w few lymphoid follicles. There is mild lymphoid hyperplasia.
No granulomas.
Diagnosis: Ileitis.
As far as I understand this is not IBD.
On the other hand, I ate some biscuits made w butter a few days ago and d is non-stop. Horrible pain has never become better in the last 2 months. Still waiting for the results of the tests. Some of them look for gluten-intolerance though they were negative 4 years ago. My GI was correct when he said I'm a rare case.

Crohn's used to be called Regional ileitis (also Regional Enteritis); your diagnosis is inflammation (-itis) of the ileum. It sounds to me that it's showing Crohn's in the ileum. You can have severe pain and debility even when the tests results don't look very bad. I know that's been the case for me.

I've got to rush now, but sorry that the tests didn't show a bit more, minnie. It could still be mild Crohn's of the ileum that you have: granulomas are not always a feature of Crohn's and their absence doesn't rule it out.

Also second being tested for infectious ileitis, although I find it hard to belive that hasn't been thought of and done by now. You never know with doctors though, I suppose...

PS: Did the colonoscopy show any colitis? What about microscopically?
