prednisone for rashes from ramicade?

I've been struggling with skin rashes plus severe itching for some time. My doc thinks it could be from ramicade. He prescribed antihistamines, but they didn't work. A dermatologist suggested that prednisone can help starting from 30mg per day. Anybody had similar problems and used prednisone for similar purpose?

Are the rashes constant or is there a pattern, e.g., they tend to flare up shortly after an infusion? If so, then Remicade is more likely to be the cause. Some people will take prednisone for a few days prior to their infusion to prevent an allergic reaction. I had a pretty nasty rash after my first infusion but haven't had any since that I can easily link to the Remicade.
