Eyelashes becoming shorter and weaker

Noticed lately that my eyelashes became very short This happened suddenly. Can't trace back the culprit. Is it pentasa or Imuran? I have been on pentasa for almost 6 years now and Imuran for a year.

I don't know if it's your meds, but could it be your age? No offense. I only speak from my own experience. I'm 41 and I noticed, seemingly out of nowhere, that my eyelashes have stopped curling upwards. They used to be long and gorgeous and now they're kind of pokey and straight. I think it's just whatever happens to your hormones as you get older because when I mentioned it to my mom she said the same thing happened to her.

I don't know how old you are, and you certainly don't need to say! :) I just thought I'd throw that out there in case it's not your meds and just one of those sucky life things that happens as we age.

Stef, thank you. I thought that as long as my hair is falling, so would my eyelashes. I never knew it's a matter of age; we are not that aging yet. You yourself are still young. I'm 36 and I attribute this to Imuran as they became very short abruptly. Actually, I remembered how my cancer suffering friends lost their eyelashes completely coz of chemo. Def, Imuran is not comparable to chemo.

Well, I will be 44 this year. I went through menopause early..The last year my eyelashes have gone sparse. I am not having to pluck my eyelashes near as often, and I am missing about 1/4 of the thickness of my hair ..My hair was very thick so it is not so noticeable, also my nails are paper thin..I am trying to figure out if is hormonal (age), or may be vitamin deficiency I have been struggling with that.
