Seeing my GP on Monday for my swelling legs...crud one more pill to take???

So I ahve noticed some nasty leg swelling for quite some time now. My bp has also been high for about two years (I was always low normal). Figuring I am going to have to add a water pill. Anyone have any negative CD issues with these?

I actually am a little scared about this since I am also having calf pain on one side...especially when the swelling goes up. Drat this getting old thing is a big bummer. Trying not to imagine the worst....just exhausted and want to feel like my old self again. I want to go dancing!!!!!

Although I haven't been on any type of water pill, I wanted to wish you luck at your Dr visit. I agree completely! Getting older really stinks, especially for us CD patients! Always something but just remember, its just another bump in the road!

Hi there. I've been on pred for so long I've developed severe edema. I have to take Lasix I think it's called. My legs were so bad. I was like the pills bury doughboy when you pushed my feet. The pills help a lot but somedays it's still bad. You have to basically eliminate salt from your diet which is impossible. Make sure you're taking a potassium pill as well since your electrolytes can get out of whack peeing so much. And boy will you pee!!!
