Bowel resection.. Recovery time?

Hi all, I had a bowel resection 10 weeks ago, and had my temporary ileostomy closed 3 days ago. Had a lot of wind yesterday, started on solids today and spent a lot of the afternoon in and out of the bathroom with watery BMs. How long is this going to go on? Is it better to avoid solid foods, or continue eating them (low residue, soft) so my bowel can get used to it?

I had a resection of about 8 inches mostly my TI but also the ileocecal valve 7 weeks ago, I did not have a temp ileostomy. I think I may be lucky but it took a little over a month for my bms to transition to a more solid form. Hopefully you will be doing better in a few weeks.
