Gallbladder???

I've been having stabbing pains above my belly button. I thought it was gas pain. I was drinking lemon juice and taking gas x. No relief, if not worse. Called my primary care dr and she told me to go to the ER to get a gallbladder scan. I went to the ER. Told them about he stabbing pain, nausea, pressure, and back pain. They did a ct scan since I gave crohns to rule out crohns related concerns. They did blood work and said it was elevated but probably because I'm on 20mg prednisone. Sent me home WITHOUT a gallbladder scan and with pain/nausea meds. I am still having stabbing pains!!!! I don't know what to do. Help?

I'm not exactly sure what blood work they did. The ct scan did cover the gallbladder. Isn't it true that the CT scan can miss gallstones?

I would call your primary care and talk to them about the tests that were done. I had gallstones. I basically had the dry heaves from them and it did feel a lot like when my guts first reared up.

Have you been eating anything particularly fatty lately? That is when I noticed mine more - particularly deli meat, salad dressing (that I used on my tuna) and ice cream (which does not bother my CD).

Anyway...please get in touch with your GP to get some care.
