Hi there. I'm a 40 year old guy who's been living with Crohn's for 25 years. Usually my Crohn's is mostly under control. I know this isn't a dating site but I'm looking for someone of the opposite sex who is dealing with the same issues. I'm good looking, smart, employed, funny, charismatic (charming even hehe). I'd just love to meet a girl 30-45 years old to hang out with, be able to say I feel like crap today and be understood, and hopefully develop a friendship with. I can't seem to find any young adult support groups but if anyone out there in AZ is that girl or knows someone I'd love an introduction. Thanks and have a great night!

hey, man. i'm a guy and from MN, so no luck for you here. but threads like these, you kinda bare yourself. feels bad if no one replies. dunno if that'd happen, but figured it can't hurt to make sure it doesn't.

Hi and welcome,

Well, I'm not the gal you're looking for either; ancient and married. ;-) But even though this isn't that kind of site, I totally understand. Chronic illness can make meeting someone a difficulty. I don't know if there is someone in the crowd here or not, but when you look at the number of Crohn's forum members, well, you never know. At least you might make a friend or two in the meantime. -Joy

I don't live in Arizona, but I have lots of family there. My aunt flew into town 2 weeks ago and I promised her I would visit before the year is out.

I am 37 and I have been diagnosed with Crohn's for over 16 years. I haven't been on medicine for over 6 years. I live as normal as possible outside of the ileostomy which no one knows I have unless I decide to tell them!

I am not looking for dates but I never turn down a chance to get to know people. I am a networking expert by trade. Before my surgery I pretty much experienced a lot of the symptoms and only had two surgeries one being the "big one," but after making that decision I have been in remission.

I live my life to the fullest and I enjoy it.

Thanks for the responses! JaSanne- I actually have met two really great people from the site over the past fee years. It was so nice to meet folks dealing with the same thing!
LLT- you should let me know when you're heading to AZ. Id love to chat! Especially since you have an osteomy and it's something my doc has brought up. Have a great day!
