New Member - Anal Cellulits/Abscesses Want My Life Back :(

I am new here but at this point I have no idea where to friggin turn. I hope someone out there may have some more home health remedies that I can try myself because. My surgeon won't call me back after 3 days, my General Prac doc hasn't returned call in 2 days and my Home Health Nurse hasn't returned calls in last 2 days. I will do my best to keep this as short as possible. Last month I woke up went and mowed the yard came in went to shower and in shower found a tiny small hard knot less than 1 cm from my rectum and I didn't think anything of it.Well fast forward to 12 hours later it had grown from the size of maybe a small nail head to the size of a golf ball. I contacted my General Doctor told me to start doing Epson Salt Baths ok done, clean area very well ok done and done and to cover with gauze with triple anibiotic medication and change bandage twice a day. I did as he said and woke up 5 hours later cold from fever, chills, and wet all the way through pajama shorts. I had my fiance look at the knot and he almost faints and said we are going to the ER NOW. Fever is 103, I can't walk straight up he tells me on way while Im in back seat laying down wondering what the hell I've done in my life SO BAD to have pain this unimaginable and he says that started little right? yes and he says be prepared because it's the size of regular salad plate and it's about 2 inches thick, red, hard and pretty much on your whole left buttock. Go to ER was rushed to back, residents and attendings would NOT attempt to touch it. Specialty surgeon comes in says it's the biggest and deepest she's ever seen and surgery scheduled for next morning June 6th and I am admitted, dressings, morphine drips, the whole works for pumping me full of fluids and pain is never ending. Told it is 5 inches long by almost 6 inches long and around 2-3 inches deep not helping. Had surgery felt like a 50 pound weight off my body and taught how to do self care but couldnt do cause location. Home health nurse assigned packed everyday for last three weeks when surgeon f/u clears me and said no more packing cover with clean gauze, epson salt bath once a week and keep it dry.

O.k. great started walking, running and able to do my yoga again, go back to school and work and things have been GREAT until yesterday same thing worked out, yard work, showered and right at top of tailbone on Left side feel hard spot size of small nail head and then 2 inches down on Right little bigger small knot right along tail bone. Called ALL of them again was due for follow up 4-5 days ago was called appt was cancelled Idk why. Started calling Surgeons, Primary Care Dr., Home Health Nurse and STILL no one calls back. I am a 40's+ woman, I am beyond very clean kinda OCD about my house and cleanliness, take 2-3 showers a day usually or right now 2 showers am and pm and Epson Salt Bath once a week as surgeon directed. Again, fast forward from 12 hours ago from tiny small nail head hard pimple like knot to now Left the size of a quarter and the Right the size of a dime and throbbing like I am being stabbed. Fiance goes to pharmacy for the basics Epson Salt, Iodine, Boil Ease, PRID, more gauze, more tape, and the biggest bottle of Aspirin, Alleve and Tylenol I've ever seen. I have changed my whole life from the FIRST surgery. Threw out pretty much all clothing and undies worn when I was sick first time bought new, changed whole diet to high protein, eat tons of fruit, white meats chicken, fish, turkey tons of veggies. Take at least 10 vitamins and herbs to help NOT get the abscesses/cellulitis again B12, B6, Vit C, Echenichia? sp, calcuim, zinc, magnesuim, and also drink at least 2-3 Super Green Foods Smoothies a day with at least a hundred vitamins and minerals that are beyond good for me. I am at my lowest point today they haven't started growing out of control yet but seem to slowly be expanding, I can't get any of my health professionals to call me back and I have done 3-4 Epsom Salt baths today, cleaned the two abscesses with saline and applied like peanut butter the PRID and covered with the gauze and taped. I still have my 1st incision to worry about and NOT recontaminate I have cleaned properly and redressed and taped a double dressing on it to make sure nothing from new sites get into my 1st surgery site that is just barely open less than cm open near corner. I am so stressed out I have never had these in my whole life and now all of a sudden I get the first in June and now here we go again. I exercise, eat right, drink tons of water, try to stay active as I can while healing and keep surgery sites completely clean and I end up with two more. I did have staff infection that had gotten into blood but luckily when I went to ER we caught it in time and was on antibiotics for over 1 week w I.V. Please, if anyone out there has any suggestions on diet, medications or remedies Please Please Please let me know. I am at my wit's end with this and we are suppossed to go on vacation tomorrow night the vacation of lifetime to Ireland. I don't know if I should stay and let someone else go at this point in our extended fam. I haven't had any fever last night or today the highest has been 98.5 thank goodness. No chills, only tightness and pain radiating from the inside of the abscesses and redness along the length of my tailbone area. I would NEVER wish this awful condition on my most worst enemy. Thank you for letting me vent, it's either vent or just start crying because right now I don't know if I would stop afraid it's going to turn out like the first time and never want to feel that kind of pain again as with the cellulitis. Gumby44 thank you for your post. I left out the most important part I am being tested for Crohn's also this is why I am trying so hard to get in touch with my Drs. also. It is very disappointing that I am unable to get anyone to return even a simple phone call. During this time of the surgery I have also been diagnosed with an Enlarged Heart w Hypertension, Asthma since age 21 and High Blood Pressure. I am not obesely overweight but have the remaining 30 pounds that I have been working on losing even before the abscess surgery. As, for the vacation I must have angels working for me as the family and friends we are going with will have both a Home Health Nurse Practioner and ER supervising doctor and insisted I email them with the information of new abcesses so that they can both bring the needed supplies in the event these have to be lanced etc. As, of tonight they are NOT any larger but softening slowly and the pain seems to be much much less when I apply the Smile's PRID drawing salve seems this salve works on just about any type of skin problem with exception of large and deep open wounds. I am awaiting on being referred to a specialist for the diagnosing of the Crohn's and for issues with possible fissures along with the abscesses/cellulitis issues. I guess I am just beyond understanding how this can happen when I don't drink alcohol, don't smoke cigarettes, I don't do any kind of drugs unless they are prescribed by a doctor for health problems. I have been eating right over the last 2-3 yrs, I exercise daily in various rotating regiments, drink more than enough water, vitamins and holistic herbals everyday and have almost completely removed processed sugar from my diet along with processed flour and other diet changes that have improved my health tremendously over the last 2-4 yrs. I just don't know what else I can do beyond what I am doing now with the treatment of this issue. Thanks for your support
