adhesions and partial obstruction

hi all,

I was wondering if anyone else has had adhesions +/- obstruction.

I had adhesions up the side of my large bowel and since surgery all my constipation has resolved.

I had problems following my diagnosis of IBD years ago.

What was your surgery?

I had a subtotal colectomy in Feb 2013. A permanent ileostomy was created (boo hiss ¬_¬). I don't know if I have any abdominal adhesions, but I presumably must have a few. Do get occasional mild obstructive symptoms, but I don't know the cause of them: could be adhesions or Crohn's.

I had adhesions after a hysterectomy and could feel some of them, especially one at my sigmoid colon that was stuck to my abdominal wall. Even though I had endometriosis, which also causes adhesions, I had never had any prior to that surgery, so surgery caused mine, I'm sure. I don't think I have any since my colon surgery; they tidied up the place when that was done.
