shakehead Diagnosed with UC at 13 had totalcolectomy by age 16. Had 2 bowel obstructions after that had to be surgically repaired. Small bowel connected to rectum with ileanal anastomosis with j pouch. Now 24 yrs later I got Crohns at my anastomosis .Probably was crohns all the time per the GO doc.Gotta start Humira to save my pouch anybody been through this?

Nope. I would get a reversal in a heartbeat if I could, but can't because I've had (known) Crohn's all along.

Have had a total colectomy though. Which sucks. Basically.

Er anyway. Good luck with the Humira and hope it works.

Hi, I've just spent the last 2 years taking humira trying to save my jpouch, it didn't work. I just had surgery 13 days ago to remove the pouch & have a permanent ileostomy & I feel better than I have in years. Good luck to you, everyone is different some people have great success with humira.

I'm glad to hear u feel better after ileostomy placed. Thanks for the well wishes with Humira.
