I'm starting to have a very minor flare.. but every time I do I notice my Lexapro doesn't work as well. Is there any other way to get this into my system? Maybe crushing it up or putting it up my.. jk! But seriously, I don't think my body absorbs it all when I'm in a flare. Thoughts?

Can you let it dissolve under your tongue?

I don't absorb ANYTHING. EVER. Pain meds, antibiotics, etc. Even when I'm in remission. So I think it's very likely, yes. Crushing it might work, but I'd ask if there's a dissolvable kind you can get instead.

Ugh dissolving won't help. Would make me have inter-dose withdrawal. Guess I will just snort it or shove it up my ass. Sucks because they work so good when I'm in remission. Which is rare for me to be 100 percent in remission.

It probably wouldn't absorb from the south-bound end if it's coming through there visibly when you have a bm. A lot of meds are absorbed in the small intestine, but I'm not sure about
Lexapro. Call your pharmacist and ask if it's crushable or if he has a suggestion. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "inter-dose withdrawal" from dissolving it.
I have trouble with this problem at times and have discovered that some of the pills' binders are waxier than others and they don't break down well. I recently changed pharmacies and the generic baclofen I now get is much better because it's not as waxy as the brand I'd been on.
