Question about flu vaccine- imp

Yesterday, I took the flu vaccine "Vaxigrip". The nurse wanted to give it to me IM but since I have multiple cysts and fibroised areas in both buttocks, I can't take any IM injections. I also said that I always take it SC in my arm. I took it sc last year and the year before. So, I took this year's vaccine SC, too. Today, a friend of mine said she took it this year IM instead of SC.
Also, every year after I take it, I have a mini-flu the day after with low fever and sore throat. I have no symptoms this time. Only the awful nausea since Ibhave taken it till now.But I do have nausea all the time coz of Crohn's and C. Does this mean it won't work? Shouldn't I have taken it? For a month, whenever I want to take it, I have a new problem and my GI postpones it. Yesterday, I felt good and took it. It seems I was mistaken.

Ides, thank you. She gave it to me in my arm, I don't know whether this would be considered intramuscularly or not. I'll ask the GP.

Flu vaccines here in the US are most always given in the arm.

I was told by my GP and my GI doctors that no matter what, take the flu shot! We cannot afford to have a full blown case of the flu. Any discomfort we have afterwards is nothing compared to what it could be should we not take it. I have had the shot 3 times. The first time was horrible! The second time it all settled into my left breast. Talk about pain!!!! This time...nothing. Mild mild mild flu like symptoms afterwards, but nothing compared to the other times. So I say, take the shot and be safe. I also make my husband get the shot.
