Hello.

I know there was a thread about this a while ago, but I was wondering if I could get some more responses regarding Magnesium Citrate prep for a colonoscopy.

For the past several years, I have used half-lytely, but apparently I cannot use it again. The doc gave me the magnesium citrate prep (two bottles and some dulcolax), and I was just wondering what people thought about it. Is it horrible? Did it clean you out well enough?

Any information / helpful hints would be appreciated.

Magnesium Citrate does work, but if you have C or a partial or blockage it could entail some pain and discomfort.

I can't stand mannitol or castour oil as preps and take magnesium citrate instead. It does clean the bowels.

I prefer it drinking-wise over the others I've used. The lesser of a myriad of evils, in my opinion, but everyone is different. I hope you do okay on it.
