Need help!

Diagnosed with ulcerative colitis three years ago. The disease goes up to my sigmoid colon.
Currently in my second major flare up. My doctor prescribed rowasa enemas at night and hydrocortisone suppositories in the morning. I also take 4.8 mg of lialda everyday.

I have been doing the enemas and suppositories for over two weeks and am still not seeing much improvement. I am going a couple less times a day and every other bowel movement is formed, but there is still blood in most of them.

I am also feeling very weak and my legs feel like they weigh a ton.

Is all of this normal? How long should it take to kick this flare in the butt?

I am getting very anxious and want to get my health back on track.
Also has anyone used Uceris? My doctor mentioned this could be the next medicine we try.

Sounds to me like your disease is too active for the rowasa to make much of an impact. You probably need to be on stronger meds than what you're taking.i tried uceris, but it didn't do a lot to help me. What other meds has your doctor discussed? I would put in a call to your doctor to discuss.
