IBS is a functional disorder. IBD causes inflammation/damage. IBS does not.

There is also no blood with IBS (bleeding hemmies don't count since anyone can have a bleeding hemmie and not have other bowel issues of either IBD or IBS)

I too, like gumby, have both, my crohn's is in remission thanks to Humira, but still battling IBS issues.
