Crohn's in the Anus

Does anyone have Crohn's in the anus? I had a biopsy done back in November and he found Crohn's in my anus. He said that if the Humira doesn't work, there is one more drug to try and then I may be looking at removal of the rectum and anus and a ostomy bag.

I've had Crohn's for 18 years - two small bowel resections. Currently on Humira after failing on Remicade and Cimzia.

You bet! My Crohn's was all in my large intestine, rectum and anus. Just had an MRI a week ago after having my large intestine, rectum, anus removed and sewn up, permanent Ostomy created and the MRI shows no sign of Crohn's in the small intestine! My surgeon, GI and family doctors all say that with where my Crohn's was, the surgery I had and the results of the MRI, my Crohn's is essentially gone. With the ostomy, they say it "shouldn't" ever be able to creep into the small intestine. Now, that being said, I know better than to think I am actually Crohn's free but for now, I feel freaking amazing!

I tried every drug except remicade. I was on Humira for two years and it didn't do much for the rectal area.

I wish you the best of luck. This darn disease manifests itself in so many different ways.
