I get severe cramps with ergotamine every times. Don't know why. Does ergotamine increase bowel inflammation? I use ergotamine for acute migraine and I really need to know. Any information, experience?

I know serotonin causes intestinal spasms but what I want to know is whether ergotamine cause inflammation or not.

Does the medication you're taking have caffeine in it? It could be the caffeine if it does, or both. Here is the prescribing information for ergotamine/caffeine in case you haven't found it:
