I have made a appointment to have a endo and colonoscopy done but the doctors drew blood to test for inflammatory markers and other blood work all the blood work came back normal should I still have the colonoscopy and endo done or look at other possibilities the pain is more upper abdomen.

Yes, because those tests are not as accurate compared to scopes.

Best of luck, hope they don't find anything serious going on.

Definitely yes. Even if it's not anything inflammatory (although it still could be, as @pb4 said), they could still see problems with those scopes. Honestly, the scopes really aren't that big of a deal. I've probably had 10-15 of them in the last 5 years.

I do not even know why they bother with those inflammatory marker tests. Just do the scopes and have a ct enterography done. The top four diagnostic tools are: scopes, ct enterography, pill scope, and barium swallow.

Definitely, still get the scopes done. The only way to know what exactly is going on in there. A SBFT would also be advised if your issues are in the terminal illium.

CT enterography is also a good diagnostic, but be aware, you are exposing yourself to very high amounts of radiation.

From what I understand, ct enterography is the gold standard for radiographic diagnosis, and in circumstances where colonoscopy, SBFT, or pill scope fails they do ct enteroclysis. Ive personally had SBFT, and ct enterography. Both came back normal and have a colonscopy soon. If that fails they will probably do the last resort of having the ct enteroclysis. If all these fail but inflammation markers were high id personally not know what to do.
