Humira & broken bones

Hi all. I tripped & fell Friday and fractured my wrist. the only treatment is casting it, but does anyone know if the humira i'm on will delay healing of the fracture?

It stinks getting old!!!!

Have you asked your dr if Humira might increase the chance of getting an infection in the broken bone? I don't know but can't imagine why else there would be a problem healing a fracture while you're on Humira. Sorry about the broken bone, hope it heals quick and yes, except for all that wisdom we gain getting old does suck!

So sorry you broke a bone. I have broken my toes while on biologics and nothing happened but now I have a new area of avascular necrosis on my femur and just had surgery to scrape out all the dead bone and cartilage and my ortho asked me to hold off on my Cimzia as long as possible in hopes that my body will try to heal by producing scar tissue. So, I am taking my LDN and an increased my lialda to 5 a day and achieved remission for now. Hopefully my bone will heal so I can get back ony cimzia.
